What is your current E.T? What MPH?

The 49 is awesome and will get you to mid-low 11's. That turbo is in my opinion the BEST street turbo out there.

I at first had a 49, then had it changed to a 60 (which only has a larger compressor wheel) and that too worked well. I went 11.30's with that turbo with 1.5 60' times leaving off the footbrake.

I have never used a 50-series turbo so I cant give you any input on that, but the 49 is awesome, and I had good luck with the 60 too.

BTW, I am now using a 63 and it has laaaaaaaaaaagggg but BIG MPH and top end.

ALSO, if you want to see the difference in size between turbos, click here http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/turbo/turbowheels.html and it will help you see what the different turbos use for compressor and turbine wheels.

With the power plate, a stocker. Without, a PTE108.

:D

But seriously folks, a 49 is just fine if you run the streets and don't have heads. With heads, the sky's the limit.

A T63E will max out the stock heads, but on the street you may not like the lag without a fair bit of stall. I race a T63E on a stock heads car with an A/C 9" N/L and it spools just fine, but it's never on the street.

A 49 goes 11.2 on a bud's car, and has gone 10's on Jesus' car.

Just about any turbo you pick can support 550 or more HP - that's a hell of a lot of air my friend. These turbos we throw around day in and day out are way bigger than people credit.

Pick one...

:D

i have not had it at the track since the install of alot of the mods...

but last time out went a 13.00 @ 105 (half throttle pass b/c i was getting knock through the RPM range and would rather give up a pass than give up a motor) since then new trans/converter, DFI, racegate and in car boost controler to eliminate the creep

i was thinking somthing in the 52 range...

Unless you plan on going up in injector the 52 will be too much for the 009's to use what it has to offer. The 49 is about a perfect match fuel-wise to the 009's.

I have a 52 on my GN with a 9/11 L/U with Bruce's default stall (???), street driven, and it's perfectly fine for spool and top end with 009s and an ME16 (Steve Y. is a GOD).

I doubt it spools as well as a 49 or a 44, but if I really wanted to roast BFGs I'd have gone a 44 with a Garrett housing now, wouldn't I?

The 52 went 12.01 @ 118+ at the Nats in 2001 with the D5 - piggo - it wouldn't 60' worth a crap. With the converter change it should go 11.4s or so, if I ever get it back to the track.

I'm lazzzzzzzzzzzzzzy...

:D
