I will be moving to Savannah in 3 months and was wondering if there is anyone in that are with Turbo Buicks. Any good TR shops? Thanks!

I have seen 1 or 2 scattered over the course of time.
I used to know of one fellow that would help out my wife with ours before I met her, but haven't heard from him in a while. I think he passed it to his son. There is Brett with Savannah Auto Air, I think he also owns a TTA. There is another fellow in Beaufort, just over the river, I typed to back a few months ago that has a Ttype and a converted GTA (if memory serves).

Myself, I live just up the road in Statesboro. I believe we are the only TR/GN owners in our county. There was another young fellow that had a rough looking 86, but it got sold just down the street a short time ago. Have no idea where it went, but it probably got parted out.

PM/email me some time and we can go show the boys in the Savannah car club some Buick Power! They have many a late model TransAm and a few rustangs and really wanted to see our GN (didn't have it with me that day). Ran into them at a local car show sponsored by Southern Cruisers.

Did Brett sell his GN? I know his dad had the TTA and he had an 87 GN that was nicely built. It's been a while since I've swung by the shop, so was wondering.

There's a few of us scattered around SE Ga. I'm near Waycross, about 70-75 miles south of Savannah. I know of 2 other T's, a WE4, and 1-2 GN's in my neck of the woods. Don't know of many in Savannah, other than Brett. May want to shoot him a PM or email to see if there are any other TR/TTA owners in the Savannah area. www.savannahautoair.com is his shop's website.

Hey Lonnie,
Didn't you make it to the SGTB meeting back in Feb?
There was quite a bit going on, I'm still trying to remember everybody.
Do you know if there are any plans for another get together?
I haven't seen much action on Doug's board.

Vader,
With Doug's permission...
Check out http://com5.runboard.com/bsouthgeorgiaturbobuicks
This is the only gang I am aware of.

Nahh, I was in Atlanta working when the SGTB meet happened. I haven't talked to Doug in a long time, so I have no idea if they are planning to try another gtg. I need to call him and find out what is going on, if anything.

Ok. There was a fellow there with a gray ttype, but I wasn't sure. He must have been the friend of Morkai(?) that tagged along. It was a good meet except for the rain. Doug got his brakes flushed by yours truly. He traded me a oversized downpipe that he didn't want and Evans sold me a ported elbow. Got to get those on, but have other projects that take priority.

Doesn't seem to be much going on. Nobody has posted to the board in a while, but maybe something will happen.

Good to type to you.

Thanks for the link! Just registered as vader87. Look forward to getting together with some fellow TR owners!

No Problem. We would probably have to drive a little to meet up with everybody. Most are closer to the Macon and Warner Robins. I'm the furthest one away...until now. :p

Wait until you see Evans' TR. It's so gorgeous, it's pornographic!

I'm guessing you're in the military? Transferred to Hunter?

Yep to Hunter, last one, then retire! I know a few guys in Augusta also. There is a 383 stroker twin turbo T up there! Yea I got a lot of little things to do to get mine right. Got a lot of parts just sitting and waiting to be installed.

Make sure you have plenty of theft deterrents before you go. Savannah is a nice place, but is has it's share of bad elements. Stolen cars happen there, not quite daily, but more frequent than I care to deal with.

My wife used to work there and we decided she wouldn't take the GN to work just for safe keeping. Too easy to steal in my opinion. She did once, just to show off to her work friends. One got a reak kick out of it because she didn't think my wife would own that kind of car!

busy

I have been way too busy! The gray T was Ray's(Clark6)brother. It's a hot air car. Morkai never goes anywhere.
I gotta get a rad in my T but the commuter repairs come first. :)
Got through adding a big deck on the house, now on to replacing sheetrock in the sun room, rebuilding the mantle/sand blasting the paint off/staining to match the hardwood floors, new flooring in the oldest's room, new paneling in upstairs bath, gutters, grass mowing/fertilizing,flower beds......I gotta stop, beginning to look never ending lol
