Fastest car in my school period.:D
1970 340 dual points pistol grip..........I go to the auctions all over w/ my dad now, and all I hear is Wish you still had yours? Big Grin and smile on his face. Didn't even have to sell it. Went into the service and ............. THOSE THINGS ARE GOIN FOR SOME COIN NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a 73 340, 727 slapstick. P/s, pdb, air car. It was B3 blue. 8 3/4 sure grip with 3.23's out back. Car was super nice. Yes, I wish I'd kept it..

Sold it in 97 for $6500. It would easily be $15000 or more now. It had been completely and professionally restored.
:(

No, but in '84 I bought a '71 340 Cuda convert. It was fast for the 70's and early 80's (I had a '71 SC360 Hornet in high school that held it's own against 340 Dusters), but they really aren't that quick by todays standards.

I loved 'cuda's and had 2 440's and the 340 convert and sold them all for a lot more than I paid for them (though I could get double today) but I have no regrets. As drivers go, they aren't good drivers.

A convertible cuda handles, brakes, accellerates, drives, rides, and generally feels worse than my '86 mustang convert I bought when I stop driving the convert (in '86). Styling aside, it makes no sense to me that a $60K car is a worse car (my convert 'cuda) than a $4500 car (a used '86 mustang convert).

The "collectors" can buy all the 'cuda's they want. I've been there and done that.

Friend of mine named Steve Siegel owned a fully restored 71 Cuda with a Hemi! Even got a ride in it. Bonus? It was a convertible. He sold it for 6 figures and at one point it was in the Otis Chandler collection. Think it is worth about a million $$ now.

A kid that graduated in '76 had a 69 chevelle. 396. That's one car I couldn't touch. He was super fast.

I was born on Feburary 17th 1975. So yeah, no car for me.

My first car was a 1979 Cutlass Supreme back in 1991. My second car was the fastest at school being a 1984 Ttype Buick.

Not until much later (89) Bought a 74 'Cuda into which I transplanted a 69 383 commando. And yes, if I had known then what I know now, I would still have that sucker.......
