anyone ever had this problem? (Long)
just recently got my car back on the road after making some upgrades. My combo is, ta49, 009's, poston headers, atr stainless up/down & crossover, and lunati 200-200 cam, also 8" cone filter. Anyway when i first started running my combo, exactly the same, except w/30lbers and a 93 jl chip also w/ a low budget 2800 stall convertor this thing would rip the tires, but i started to notice over the past few months that the car has been feeling sluggish. Even after tuning the car to 18psi on 93 octane w/1-2 kr and 02's in the 790-820 range this car pulls hard on the top, but is just a dog on the bottom end. My question is could there be a possiblity of a bad convertor hurting my low end performance. like i said this car pulled hard from a dead stop, now it's just a dog. It has a stock long block that I just rebuilt last year, at first i thought that maybe i had excessive blow by and was'nt receiving the full benifit of the turbo, but I ran a compression test today and got these readings. 1-140, 3-135, 5-140/ 2-140, 4-135, 6-140 and this was after I had ran the vehicle for about 45 minutes the manual says I should check it cold. Anyway I know it's a long post but I just had to cover all the info. Oh yeah as you can see I did'nt mention a intercooler, thats right it's a hot air. But don't come with the jokes please. besides 8.10@ 78mph is no slug.
