Anyone have pics of the lifter valley?

I want to see the valley on front side of the motor. Kind of behind the timing chain cover. I just bought a long block and it just looks strange to me. Kind of like a wall is broke out but it could just be a rough casting also.

So I was just wanting to see some pics of your motors lifter valley.

Re: your block...yeah, they kinda look like they're broken off, but it's normal.

That picture that Jack provided is a perfect example. If your's doesn't look like that there's a couple of reasons:

You either have a 4.1 block or you have a non turbo block, or other early production 3.8

Holy Sh!t, Grumpy, what kind of a digital camera did you use on that shot. Great quality. I'm looking to replace my 1st generation Sony and am looking at a wide variety of cameras. Want that kind of quality, zoom and mpg capabilities.

....hmmmm camera is a sony mavica 75 ( I think) ...Ill check tomorrow...Had it for a year or so...quality pics would be better with someone who knew what they were doin
