Big Block Chryslers?...

I picked up a Maserati for parts that has a 383 in it (at least I think it's a 383) I know its a Big Block.

I'll be taking the carb (edelbrock) but if you guys know someone, please send them my way... I hate to dump this motor/trans, and would really like to find it a home.

Let me know... you guys know the number

BTW was trying to contact you regarding a part Danny gave to Mason. It's a torque arm bracket off of the T5. LMK

From what I know, the 383 is not a desirable motor performance wise like the 340 or 440.... but hey, what do I know, I'm just a Buick guy.

The car is EXTREMELY Rusty (Bottom of doors, roof, firewall, rockers... it's been parked over 10 years.

Kinda sad that a high end car like this would go to waste.

Thanks for the heads-up. The 383 (I think thats what it is) is supposed to have a fresh rebuild (but I cant confirm that) but has been in the car for a number of years. I dont even know if it is a 383... dont know how to tell, other than it being a big-block by the distributor location in the front.

Anyone know how to identify it?

Update:

turns out it was a 440 EHP block...

someone lucked out because he spent the time to check it out...
