according to all the info I've read it's a direct swap....I'll know for sure in about another week or so when mine arrives. I can update you if you like.....

Cool. I have mt GT3255 sitting at home. I won't get a chance to put it on for a few weeks though.

Thanks

GT3255

I've got the GT3255E w/TO4E housing. Bolts right in, watch oil feed line. Has adaptor plate for oil line held in with two bolts. If using factory oil feed with elbow adaptor there is interference. I removed 1 bolt and machined(ground) the bolt head to approx 1/2 the original thickness. Fit perfect, tight no leaks. Also minor align issues w/heat shield bracket, minor! P.S. this turbo PULLS from idle to shift light!!

Issues I have found with various turbos include the following.

1. Make sure the actuator will bolt to the turbo and line up well with the swingarm puck mount.

2. Intake plumbing match up with inlet size with no interference?

3. Make sure the exhaust housing used is ported properly and the puck lines up with the hole in the turbo properly.

4. Stud the holes for the drain tube and use a new thick GM style gasket there.

5. Studding the exhaust housing also makes it easier to install in most cases.

6. Make sure oil tube can mount properly and the brass fittings aren't damaged or broken in the removal of the old turbo.

7. Make sure the turbo outlet matches the intercooler in use and has a proper length hose on it and good clamps, transition hoses may be needed in some cases.

One or more of these always adds a few hours to my installations.

:p
