Apply Pin

Will an improper length apply pin cause slippage or flare at the shifts and if so will extending the length of the pin cause excessive band wear or if the band already is slightly worn what effect will extending the pin have on the trans.

The proper length pin will help control flares on both the 1-2 and the 2-3, Band adjustment is pretty critical. As far as doing it know? It all depends on if the band is already burnt or not.IT cant hurt to try, BUT make sure you do not make it to tight or you will burn it instantly
