Are all chips the same?

Just bought an 87 GN and it has a Hypertech Stage 1 chip. Is there really any differences in stage 1 chips?

Stage Chips, are too often just a marketing ploy. Once you get into chips that actually are done by folks that know what they're doing, it's about stating the Oct, timing, and injector size.

And while the differences might be slight between some chip guys, so do cars have their own personality, so slight changes can make a huge difference. Not to mention the serious chips where they rewrite parts of the code.

There are those in this community that have spent years working just on the TR chips. Searching the boards here, will tell ya who's chips are worthwhile.
