Finally installed my ATR blow off valve and it doesn't seem to work right, I can still hear some turbo "flutter". Is this correct? It seems that unless I have more than 5psi of boost, it doesn't vent at all and I can hear the turbo do the same thing as it did before the bov. I have the adjustment screw just about all the way out. Anyone else experience this?

I got mine hooked up to the vacuum line going to the boost gauge and the screw turned in almost all the way in. Mine starts to open around 16lbs after i back off the throttle......Be sure to take the top half off and seal it with silicone around the diahpram where the rod meets it inside..... I used a MightyVac Vacuum tester on it and discovered it wasn't holding any..... Works good now...Just has to be sealed good ............alan

You'll still get some flutter because of the tension required to pop it open. If it vents anything over, say 5 psi, it's going to slam shut at 5 psi and the remaining boost will cause a flutter. It did the same thing on my car. When I asked about it (I think it was here - check for other threads on the ATR BOV), the consensus was that you won't eliminate the flutter completely.

HTH,
Jim

Oh well, Guess venting some of the pressure out of that front mount is better than none at all! Thanks for the replies and I'll check the diaphram.
