scanmaster is a buick turbo designed specific built item and it works very well , gives as much info as the autoxray at the touch of a button , has maf reading , tps(so you can set it to spec ) , iac (so you can set it spec ) , rpm, mph, cross counts(so you know if O2 sensor is getting lazy , coolant temp , blm and interger cell values(so you know if your leaking in air or have too much fuel) and malfunction codes
and if chip is burned for fast dat stream it will do injector pulse width and spark advance
and its very readable and almost a nescessity for monitoring o2 and kr(knock retard) during runs and will display and hold kr and lowest o2 readings and what mph it occured at
I have autoxray and love it, as far as the scanmaster doing more, i dont think so. I have a 85 and i can read over 25 different values including all the ones you stated. and at a touch of a button i can record for 45 sec of data and then download it to my laptop and graph it to see how the sensors worked at a given time. Its all about choice, you can spend about 225 for a scanmaster that is buick specific and hardwired or you can buy the auto xray for 400 like i did and be able to read codes, data and clear codes on any car on the market today and remove it from the car in less than 5 sec. You wont find too many tr guys putting down a sm but i have a bunch of other cars and do diagn work on the side and its really helpful when buying cars to look at the ecm current and past codes. JMO> Check out autoxray.com if you havent already, they have different level you can buy and upgrade later if you want.
