Started tweaking the 13 sec GN driver since the engine is out of my 10 sec T. Ran 13.025 @ 104.49 so I was happy for a new personal best.

Funny part was a in the pits a fox body car's team member asked me if I wanted to race. Hmm, let's see what they are running, trailer-check, slicks n skinnies-check, crew-check, N/T on the window-check, says it ran 12.9 last time out-check...I tried to play dumb but couldn't. I told him I only had a mid 13 second car and was just TnT, but I'd gladly run them in my other Buick when I get it back, because I know that 'stang runs easy 10's.

The GN: stock rebuild with TRW's. Just had the tranny freshened and while driving it around with a tank full of GT100, I happened to drive all the way to the track;) With baby seat in the back, spare tire, little compressor, tuning tools, full weight street trim I headed for the lanes. I didn't take anything out to lighten the load.

TE44.63, ATR 3" ext dp, test pipe, TT 98 chip, factory Y exhaust with dual mufflers welded in, red's xp pump hotwired, volt booster, 60# injectors, billet top FP reg 42 psi line off, 9 inch K&N and gbody parts alum radiator are the only mods right now. Tires were MnH 275 50 17 drag radials.

Managed to make my way up to 20psi boost run 0KR and 775O2's all the way shifting at 5000-5200 rpm each shift staying in 3rd through the traps.

13.025 @ 104.49 mph Density Altitude was 1323ft. Didn't crack 12's but it was hot and if I let the car cool off rather than being 180F maybe next time 12's with more boost since there was no knock, not bad for a daily driver. I beat a Cobalt SS, Trailblazer SS and Mustang that were running mid low 13's too. 3-0 for the night = good times!

What's everyone running on GT100 with stock heads, cam, intercooler? I'm thinking 110-115 mph max.

are you running any alky? i would just say that if its all stock with the crap we have for fuel now i would suggest it but thats just my .02.. if not just ease your boost up a # or two until you get a bit of knock.. my car has a ton of mods and i am running alky turned boost down from 30# to 25# to be safe. my 60ft times suck but mph is like 119-122 and i need stickies...i have been running street tires.lol  I am running a small cam,th3" dp,t60,60lb injectors, alky, front mount intercooler,3"exhaust no cat with a cutout, all racing suspension, walburo fp&hotwire, acufab fp reg,msd wires, extreem rad from full throttle,pl,sm,and tt newest chip 6.0 i believe.maybe i missed something but oh well. its fast but not fast enough:eek: oh yeah the trans i have no idea what it was but i blowed it up waiting on ck billit stage 2 and my vigulantie 5 disc converter

No alky, just GT100. Yeah I know, its been almost 10 years since I was running 13's on a stock cam/head/intercooler car trying to go faster. Even my showroom stock 01 Z06 runs mid 12's easily. I'm thinking of pulling out the JayC full race chip from the T, fill the tank with Sunoco 114, and 25+psi boost will get me to 110mph at least and get a mid 12. Also going to run the 28x9x15 M/T ET Drags to hammer the launch as best as I can.

I used to run similar to that - stock heads, cam, TE-44, Hossier QTP's but a Thunderfab intercooler. On 100 UL I could run about 22# of boost and would run in the 12.5 - 12.7 range at 108mph - 110mph. Of course my density altitude was a bit higher than 1323. ;)
Did you Z06 run mid 12's up here?

The Zo6 ran 13.5-13.8 at 103-109 mph at Bandimere. In Dallas and here in FL it runs mid 12's at 114-115 mph. I saw DA's of almost 10,000 feet in the summer at Bandimere!
