I was finally able to get back to the track for the second time with this TE-44 this past Friday. After growing some..:D , I finally got under the car and removed the front sway bar (about 40 mins of work). Needless to say, I could tell the difference right away. Now the car handles like a Russian Submarine, but oh well. It better help the 60's.

Anyways, I had the boost at 23psi, and FP at 39 (line off) my first pass. The ET drags were set at 13psi and DS airbag at 17psi and PS at 28 psi.

I don't see the need to do my burn-outs with 23psi of boost so I closed the knob so it would only go up to about 16psi (I would pay for this later on in the night, just keep reading). I stayed on it till 3rd and then got ready to stage. I opened up the knob and pumped the breaks a little. I put the car in 2nd and started to build boost. My reaction times are terrible because I don't go till I see 10psi at launch. When I let off the break, the car actually hooked and I almost fell of my seat! Well It was only a 1.78 60 foot, which is not much for some of you guys, but my previous best was a 1.94 so... Anyways, once I hit 74 mph, I hit the rev limiter and took a sh!t. Oh no! I forgot to shift into 3rd! I lifted and threw 3rd, but didn't get on it because I thought I had broken something. I only had 3.5* of KR and the 02's only went down to .769 and once I checked everything like 3 times, everything was still good, thanks to the big guy upstairs. I got my time slip and I was amazed! Also VERY pissed at myself!

RT: Let’s just say it’s in the high 3.’s :D
60’ 1.78 Removing the front sway bar got me 2 tenths quicker with the same launch! Wooohoooo!
330 5.082
1/8th 7.890
MPH 84.84 (Remember, I let off at 74 MPH, I lost at least 3 mph and a good .10 or so in the 1/8th)
1000 10.490
¼ 12.783
MPH 90.44

This could have been the 11.9- 12.0 time slip that I’ve been working for.

Next pass:

RT: 2.7XX
60’ 1.988
330 5.691
1/8th 8.811
mph 77.70
1000 11.468
¼ 13.654
MPH 102.57

 Remember my “16psi burn out techneic” well I forgot to open it up and ended up making a pass…with 16psi. I didn’t even want to shift the car so I just left it in D, but forgot about the boost.

Last pass:

The car was still a bit rich so I decided to drop 2 more psi in the FP (now it’s 37). After the pass, I was a little confused.

RT 3.something
60’ 1.830
330 5.141
1/8th 7.968
MPH 86.57
1000 12.467
¼ 12.467
MPH 109.54

Hmmm. I lost mph, so does this mean that the car was too lean? My lowest 02 were .796 @ 90 mph. I went threw the traps at .810 on the 02’s.
Either that or the car likes to run rich in the .830’s or so. Oh well, I’ll just have to wait till it gets a little cooler outside.

Anyone know what a 7.89 in the 1/8th would be equal to in the ¼?
