OK I am looking into getting a mig welder and would like some feedback on what is the best for the $. I do not need anything big but somthing that can weld up to 1/4" steel would be nice. I was looking at the Lincoln SP-135T.

I'd say..if its red, blue or tan(hobart)...you;ll find its just a numbers game and 20-50 dollars...the more you spend...the better machine you will get...i've had good luck with a 220v/ hobart handler175...but thats my junk opinion tho....shop around!...STAY away from the cheepe brands...go with red or blue or tan(hobart)....later joe

Lincoln brand is a good choice.

I have a 220v lincoln SP Series, it has .035 wire with sheild gas.
It works good up to 1/4 plate, I use it all the time, well worth the $500 I spent 6 years ago.
