With the GN approaching 133,000 miles, i think its about time to see if the intercooler is still performing as it should...
WHat is the best way to do a pressure test on it????
Thanks in advance.....

I did not do a pressure test. But I filled it up with gasoline and noticed a leak on the IC, but it will hold 20 psi of boost.

If you haven't ever cleaned it out, I would definately do that.

The easiest way to pressure test it is to get a bicycle inner tube and cut it opposite of the schrader valve. Take each end (now open) put on on the inlet and the other on the outlet. Use some tie wraps or hose clamps to keep the inner tube ends on the IC. Use a pump or compressor and pressurize the IC up to around 30-40 psi and check for leaks. Use a spray bottle with some soapy water.....

Thanks for the info......Okturbo yes I did clean it out about a year ago. I dont know why i didnt think about testing it then. I'm gonna test it this weekend, hopefully there is no leaks so I can order the Big neck for it.

the best way to test the intercooler is to seal both ends and
put an air fitting in one end. pressurize to 25psi and submerge
into a tank of water. will definately show any leaks.
