big trouble today

ok, a week and a half ago my brakes went out, so i parked the and waited for the part to come in. went to start car today and battery was dead. "ok, no biggie," i said. so i got out the charger and started to charge it. then went to get in to start it, and it smelt like burning inside the car wouldnt start. i narrowed the nasty smell to computer. now i gotta buy a new computer for my car. even more money to spend. i guess my charger put a pretty big jolt into my car, i hope everything else is ok. does anybody sell a whole new computer? and how much do they run? id appreciate all the help i can get. thx

Check the "parts for sale" section on here, there is almost always selling some. They are usually around $75-$100.

Just a suggestion for next time, but you may want to disconnect the battery before charging it. Won't allow the charger to mess anything else up.
