Need some input on what backspacing to run.

I have BFG 275-50-15 tires sitting in my garage. I need to know what backspacing to run for these to fit under my car. I have 26X10 slicks mounted to stock T-Type rims and they hit the frame on both sides. If I get wheels with a 3 and half inch backspace will I be able to fit the slicks under the car without spacers? Will the same wheel fit my BFGs without spacers?

Shouldn't the slicks fit under my car now on the stock T-Type rims? If so why are they hitting the frame?

What kind of wheels are you guys running? Need some suggestions. I figure if I sell my T-Type rims and the Centerlines (star is the name of the wheels according to the Summit catalog) I should be able to buy new wheels with the correct backspacing. The backspacing on the Star wheels is 4 inch which forces me to run spacers in the front with a 225-60-15 tire.

I would like to buy the chrome torq-thrust wheels from American Racing but they are $200 a piece. Anybody know where I can get a set cheaper than that?

I run 295/50/15 on 15x8½s with a 3½" backspace with no contact on the inside or outside. This is with iron drums.

You really need to get out a measuring device (insert choice here) and go at it! All cars are different. Measure a set of known wheels/tires and get the specs on the ones you want to put on then adjust. You have to have a starting point or it will be trial and error.
