Billet vacuum pod from Caspers ?

has anyone used the billet aluminum pod (on top of "dog house") from Caspers ?
was it a nice piece? did you like it? No Leaks?!

do a search at caspers for part # 102090 to view a picture.

I've got one from Kirbans also. Nice looking piece. I've just been either too busy or too lazy to put it on.

I love mine. The one thing I did have to do though was to use a zip tie on the hose that leads to the PCV. Since the PCV has a pretty good seal against boost, but not perfect, a little bit of oil that collects in that hose gets blown out onto the throttle body, and vacuum block when under high boost. The zip tie on that big hose up at the vacuum block end solved that issue immediately.

FYI, Poston's has one that's machined on top to match the doghouse and valve covers.

As does Caspers.

I've had mine from Caspers for about a month, no problems. I like the machined grooves on top as compared to Kirbans smooth finish.

I went ahead and ordered a vacuum pod from Caspers -- the version with the extra tube for vacuum brakes (in case I ever convert) and with an extra 1/8 NPT port on rear (which I'll plug for now). It was about $50.

Just discovered my Casper's billet vacuum block will NOT fit on a Precision 70mm plenum...Just a FYI for you, Tom.

Just received the pod from Caspers (with the extra tube for vacuum brakes and an extra 1/8 NPT port).

Very nice piece.

No gasket, but I'll carefully re-use old one.

The NPT port on the rear has only 2-3 complete threads machined into the pod, great care will have to be taken to avoid stripping it.

billet vacuum pod

When I received my Caspers vacuum pod P/N 102090, I received : 1-billet vacuum pod, 1- gasket, and 2 stainless bolts.

It was a complete bolt on part, took less than half hour to install.
Very happy with the product.
