Sorry for this same issue that has probably be discussed before...but here goes....

Installed my Autometer boost gauge (electrical cobalt series) ... and the gauge has a TPS quality now.
It shows vacuum and boost but when i accelerate the gauge almost moves with the gas pedal. Even in park and revving motor the gauge needle moves with the accelerator...what gives?

vacuum line pinched? ground not good enough?

Thanks in advance

i think its obviously reading the tps voltage and not the boost
make sure its wired right

a vacuum gauge will kind of follow your gas pedal inputs- it really shows you how much you move your foot when driving down the road.

I don't know how obvious anything about this is. Does your gauge vacuum fluctuate with rpm and stuff? Also, where did you tap power and ground from?

Since the gauge shows vacume it will move when revving while in park as the engine has less vacume. Some older cars (my wife's old LeBarron for example) had a "fuel economy" gauge - which is really just a vacume gauge. Does the gauge show that it is building boost while revving in park? If so you have an issue.
