Bought a Shift Kit, but i Dont think itll work! Help!

I posted a thread asking if theres a shift kit for a regal 200C.
Apparently, not. So i called up a couple places and found out theres a shift kit for a 200/200C.

BUT. It states for 200 1979 and up models in the instructions sheets...

Its a transco SK-279

If anyone is familiar with this lemme know.

I got a 200C in this 85 regal, it has many problems like the downshift clunk and ****ty shifting as well..

Im afraid ill drop the pan and valve body to find out its the wrong shift kit, and wont fit right.

If anyone has any advice, please do so.

Why is it that you believe the kit won't fit your transmission?

because of the year 1979 the kit says specifically for...

think itll still work?

it says 79 and up? thats you. it will work. make sure to clean the valve body with some carb cleaner and make sure the tv valve is not sticking. as well as the rest. the inner tv valve is the one that always sticks
