Brake lite

My brake lite flashes when I step on the brake pedal any ideas.

It usually means the Accumulator needs replacing. I had an occasional flash of the brake light 5 years ago and had purchased a new Accumulator. Before I changed the accumulator, I replaced the brake fluid with Valvoline synthetic DOT 3 fluid and that stopped the flashing of the brake light. I still have the new Accumulator on a shelf for when I need it.
