breaks going bad?

my problem is this, if i hit the breaks really fast, like if a car cut you off, then the break feels really hard but if you step on the break slowly then it breaks like normal and yes the break light does come on, the breaks on the car are maybe 3-months old and yes the break light does come on, is my pump going bad or could it be that i have air-in the line? any help would be very appreciated

sounds like a brake switch or an accumilator i would replace the whole powermaster or switch to vaccum cause if you change the switch and accumulator your close to buying the whole thing

same exact thing just happened to me..whole new powermaster in there now....after reading all the s*&t that can happen with this system, not worth screwing around...didnt want to have to spend the dough but I love the car too much to wreck it
