I have a question. I know the BRF 200s were in all the Turbo cars, but whats the difference between the two other than the servo, valve body, and governor?
The reason I ask is that I have a spare, built low-mileage 200r4 out of my totaled WH-1, and was wondering if the trans would bolt to a SBC 350. My brother has a 72 Nova and I was gonna loan him my current 200r4 when I put the built one and stall convertor in my GN. Ive seen it done in one other Nova, and the owner said they were all BOP & Chevy housings. He also said it would bolt right to the 350.
Now my second question is, how much could a non-BRF trans take? I dont want to sell the original trans to my GN, but the T-350 is killing my brother's gas mileage. Could we build a standard 200 to take 400 ft. lbs.?
Just kinda thinking out loud here.
Any advice appreciated.
