i dont want to date myself with this but i remember seeing the ingersoll car in west palm beach at Moroso when it was new and it ran 7.90s then..must have been somewhere around...?...1985 or 86..i remember WJ had his calais there with carbon fibre wheel tubs and i thought i had seen it all...
that regal was clean and fast....always thought that was the coolest car of its day....gary browns a/fx camaro had a WJ olds in it also.....
Ingersoll was the turbo guy back then...thanks to Duttweiler

One of my dad's buddies seen him run the car at Moroso back in the day as well. Buddy was definitely a pioneer in those days and really probably the first to show the true potential of turbochargers in drag racing.

Yep....That's why all the other 'racers' got together and had him banned!!

Ken B.

Buddy not only had the Backing of Buick, But Mclaren was using indy car technology on the car.

No doubt that would have been the first car in the 6s if they had more time to work it out and change things around...

Where is this car now?? it belongs in a museum

i can see the point of the poster..

I can definitely understand his point as well. The trend lately especially with the big tire ProMod type cars seems to be building the big inch BB turbo motors that make ungodly amounts of HP, but in a lot of cases all they end up doing is overpowering the track!
