Kudos to Tony Rose for arranging the Buick Day at Norwalk today (Thursday, July 31). I had a great time, met several members of the board as well as many people I didn't know, got my 60' times down into the 1.8's, and had a ball (even with a severely cracked driver's side header). Seeing some of those TR's, TTA's and GS's as well as many other fine autos (some Buick powered, some not) run as well as they did in the heat was very motivating.

Thanks Tony for getting this set up - you did a fantastic job.

Dam you guys in the Mid west have all the fun :(

Glad to hear someone is having fun with Buicks :)

Thanks again goes out to Tony for setting this up. It was nice to meet the "master" at the kill stories[I had the GNX clone]. My best was an 11.80,only 17 lbs of boost on BFG drag radials. I think my fuel pump is on its way out,I had 55 lbs at the top end of the track .

I second that, thanks to Tony. I had a GREAT time, I'll get that alky dialed in sooner or later. Saw a lot of nice cars and me a lot of nice Buick owners.

GN NRGY & 8587GN

Nice to see you guys there today - GN NRGY, I saw your car run and enjoyed watching it, wish I had been able to hook up with you and talk some. Definitely a killer car.

8587GN - was your car the one that had the 11 SCD GN plate on it? I remember seeing your car (the clone) and it was extremely sharp (and quick too, in spite of the sick fuel pump) but wasn't sure if the plate was yours. Your car is F-A-S-T and sharp! Enjoyed talking to you briefly there in the lanes when I was getting ready to run.

Nice seeing you guys as well as all the rest!

Yep,that was me. I wish I had my laptop with me so I could of cranked up the boost. I`ll be calling Red tommorrow for a new pump. I kept it at 17lbs,so I wouldnt hurt anything[had good gas in it]. With some tuning and more miles on the moter,I think low 11`s are in it

Great day, cut a 1.665 60', but for some reason couldn't get more than 19psi out of the car. Still didn't do too bad, best of 12.16@109. Time to start looking for a boost leak. :(

Some very nice cars out there, really liked the 67 Buick Special.

I'll be there for sure next year. Thanks again Tony.

Wish I could've made it!! Unfortunately, other priorities had to come first. I would've loved to get some runs under my belt in the Cobra..... especially at a track that hooks! Thanks again, Tony, for setting it all up!

Thanks guys! Its all because we share one thing in common: We love Buicks! I do it as an enthusiast for the enthusiast! Next year should hopefully be bigger and better!

Nice meeting everyone and thanks a lot!

anyone take pics or video??? im jelous of u guys, out here in cali im lucky to see 1 or 2 GN's at the track. sound like u guys had alot of fun! sweet!

My wife got a few pics but I'm not sure how many or of whom.

I too really loved seeing the Special run it's 12.0's. And, that late 60's orange Firebird (400 RA) that was tearing the track up with low 12's was pretty awesome too, even if it was a non-Buick. Fast is fast and that car was definitely fast.

As soon as I get the pics D/L'd from the digital, I'll let you guys know what I have. Again, I don't think we got many but we'll see.

And we'll definitely be there next time too. Thanks again.
