Ugh, well I bought this Buick from NC a few months back and it has a beautiful paint job and interior. Yet, the motor, although in good shape, needs a lot of new parts. I'm in the middle of a timing chain, water pump, and valvespring install and I decided to look at the turbo. Well, not only are the blades all chewed up but there is a lot of shaft play, and I mean a lot. Also, I have like 2 or three exhaust leaks from the stock downpipe. Furhermore, I live in California and I have to pass smog. Not only do I not have a converter, which I expected, but I don't have an EGR, my check engine light has been disabled (don't know how to re-enable it), I don't think I have an o2 sensor as it is not on the downpipe or crossover, and I'm sure there are a few other things I'm forgetting here. Anyway, I guess I'll have to gut out a little more money than I want to and just uprgrade the turbo and downpipe now. I was thinking either a GT3255 or a GT6152 complimented with a TH 3'' jersey style DP and hooker catback system. It's a little more than I wanted to spend on the motor at this moment as the suspension is shot, but I can't bare driving around with that turbo after seeing it so I must buy this. I guess I'll also have to find out where I can plug in an o2 sensor and buy a new EGR and run the vaccuum lines. Anyway, just wanted to rant on how much of a pain in the A$$ this is.

Hi, well the o2 sensor is on the passenger side exhaust manifold. Where are the exhaust leaks?? I would also check the manifolds for cracks.

Well, I used seafoam and you know how that stuff lets out a ton of white smoke through the exhaust like GM's Top engine cleaner. While doing that I was looking for leaks. I didn't see any coming out of either header. Just the passenger side header to turbo area, the turbo to downpipe area, and it seemed like a little after the turbo along the downpipe somewhere. All I know is the downpipe is original and starting to show it's age so I wouldn't doubt it has some leaks.
