If I understand your last statement, we are talking about using meth as a fuel adder, as well as a charge cooler. Instead of spraying 4-6 ounces in the quarter, this would be, at 15%, 10-12 ounces.
To do this requires reducing fuel, (gas) and adding timing. I don't have experience with running this much alchy, but it seems like one would need lots more oxygen in the mix as well since it takes twice as much alchy by volume as gas, to achieve the same power, the air displaced by the alchy is going to need replaced.
Once you have increased timing, upped the boost, and decreased gasoline flow you are dependent on the alchy pump to keep running. This is fine if the pump is made for the job. Heck I'd be thinking about running 2 pumps, in parallel, in case one fails....
The best way to reduce fuel is to limit the injector pulse. Timing curves can be manipulated with the Translator+, Max. Effort, etc., but most people aren't using these.
Nice to think about reducing EGT's, and the chance of knock, but the majority aren't going this route. Too extreme!
I don't know if adding lube to a meth mixture will save the SMC pump, or not. I have not seen one post made by anyone using the SMC pump in this fasion. Adding
lots of lube means injecting hot oil into the cylinders. Hot oil has a very low octane rating so, in large amounts, that can't be good.
The intake temps only get reduced by 2 more degrees using the meth. With all the potential for problems, I believe denatured is the right choice for most. Guys that have been running alchy injection for years still use iso, or de-natured, and most of them are running a percent water as well. Most of them are running 2 stage systems BTW.
The average guy here uses a single stage system. Denatured is easy to tune with in this system. It's safe, depedable, and the right choice. IMO
