cam sensor knock

With the car idleing, I heard a ticking sound which I thought was a lifter, but on closer inspection turned out to be the cam sensor. When I put my finger on the cap, I could feel it tapping. So I replaced the whole cam sensor ( cap and drive) with a brand new one and it still does the same thing. What gives??

Check out the link. What condition is the timing chain in? Miles?

Thanks for that link. The engine has 5k on a rebuild. It has a double roller so that's what is causing the tick. I guess I'll just have to live with it.
