Cam Sensor Setting

I have been getting a popping and power dies in the top end , i hear that if you some times advance the timing when you set the cam sensor that this will help. So if this is true where should i try it at , i have it at the std 25*.

Well as I understand it, if you move the cam sensor, you will not affect ignition timing, only fuel timing. You might rortate the cam sensor counterclockwise about 3/16 and see what happens. Almost sounds like a coilpack/ module, or plug wire problem to me though. I'm not the expert here, but have been through some of these same things before. Good luck...Mark

Disconnect the cam sensor after the car is started.. Car will default to batch fire and you may find if its cam sensor related. Remember to plug back in if you decide to start the car again. HTH

ok i pulled the plug on the cam sensor , it seemed to run a little better but the injectors where tapping up a storm. It does the same thing tho, if its in park and i floor it , when 4800-4900rpm hits its a dead stop almost like a rev limiter. It will rev over 4900 when driving but very slow , not much higher tho. Ive check every thing.

How much vacuum you pulling on your gauge?

i dont have a vac gauge on my boost gauge, i wish i would have got one tho.
