I feel your pain.... I'm running a Crane roller setup and it chewed into my cam sensor a bit too. Seems that mine has maybe stopped wearing. I've been checking it every couple hundred miles and cutting open the oil filters too. Have no idea what's causing it.... just hoping it has stopped and will not get any worse. I have seen one other sensor from another Crane cam equipped car that looks just like mine.
Mine is worn only on the cam sensor. The gear on the cam is pristine.
