Hey guys. My car has been running really bad lately and has been backfiring through the turbo when attampting to start. I found out that My cam sensor is completely cracked and looks like moisture got into it. I have the replacement for it but have not put it on yet. My question is, could this sensor cause tip in hesitation bad idle and hard starting? Or is it strictly just used to start and its useless afterwards? Thanks

Try starting the car and once it's running unplug the cam sensor and see if it runs any different. If it runs better with the cam sensor unplugged then there is your problem.

Alrught Gn guru's, I started the car, unplugged the sensor, and the car idled pretty damn smooth. I was impressed, I dont think i ever heard it run so good in the four yeras ive owned it. The SES light came on due to lack of the sensor, but wass it just running good due to the fatc it was running in backup spark and fuel? Cause the car always seemed to run better with the maf or tps unplugged.
