 correct me if im wrong but that looks a hell of alot like a 80s camaro

Yup, with some goofy composite headlights and a different front facia (broken).

Yah, and a wing that a 747 would be proud of!

Looks a little bit like a hack job. I see Camaro's and stuff here too.. so it is possible.

Do you ever see any Cosworth escorts there?

I look on the streets but haven't seen any yet. But I don't get to the car shows/events like I did in the US.

this a video of the car:
http://www.racesauce.com/m_videos/driftsession02.mpg

The driver and owner of that car is a friend of mines, Chris Kam. Currently he doesnt have that wing and now sports a LT1 w/6spd. I give him a lot of credit being that he's the only guy with a domestic car drifting amongst a crowd versed with imports. The track you're looking/watching at is Hawaii Raceway Park.

im not so sure that is japan......unless in japan there are yellow and blue signs that look EXACTLY LIKE the ones i see here in the states, called NAPA. im shocked no one else saw this.

I did talk to a guy on the street that traveled alot to japan on business, and he said that he saw a GN in Japan once, and he talked to the guy with it and said he had bought it from an american business man in the mid 90's. The GN is bone stock and was sold to Japan guy for 50,000. But i have no way to confirm this.

That sign in the backround is so the napa sign!!!

That pic was taken in the same track in the video I linked. Hawaii Raceway Park on Oahu, Hawaii.

Well that camaro may not be in Japan, but I lived there for 14 months and can asure you that a few do exist there. A lot of early L-82 'vette's also for some strange reason. Most of the american cars that I saw are pretty ragged out and not doing us justice like they should. While I was there, watching the drifting scene, I badly wanted to have some vintage american rear wheel drive V8 power to slide around the corners with.
