Can a non intercooled buick go as fast as a intercooled buick

Can a 1984 turbo carburated buick non intercooled can be made to go as fast as an fuel injected , intercooled turbo buick? Has anyone gone fast and what combo if any?

1984 was fuel injected. the 1983 was carbureted.
Short answer yes. BUT; it would take significant modifications to get the carbed car to run as fast and then you would lose the street ability the fuel injected cars so enjoy.

The B4B boys have alot on their forum.
Alot of them go plenty fast.
As fast as an LC2 powered Buick?
Which LC2 powered Buick?

of course it can !!! All it takes is $$$$$ an hope an intercooled guy doesn't put a chip in the car

Depends on how far you want to take it. Using E85 or M1 can really even up the playing field. Gene Fleury has ran pretty fast without an intercooler
