not that i noticed i pulled the valve cover twice though and it was the same two that wouldnt move. is there any way to check the cam sensor? the covers are still off ill check the push rods.

Cam sensor is maybe 6-7 inches right below your tb on the block.. It's maybe 2 inch diameter metal cap with 1 harness plug on it and 2 Phillips screws on the sides... Take those 2 screws on and make sure it doesn't rotate on your own or pull out once you pull that cap off

it"s actually a plastic cap. Be careful not to break the ears on the capr. Ask me how I know!

start it with the valve covers off. If the noise is up there, you'll know it.

Then drain the oil and check for sparkles. Do you see any on the heads now that the VCs are off?

I could've sworn my cam sensor cap was metal lol but idk I didn't pay much attention to it...

And you did double check all exh bolts and for any cracks right?

Any thing in the cam sensor? Maybe try listening right over the valley cover if you hear the ticking from there it's probly a bad lifter.

Might be me or the camera/light available but does anyone else see what appears to be the #4 intake push rod doing a dance under the rocker?

Yeah kinda but it's hard to tell on my phone. At first I thought it was all whacky then i thought it may just have a bright spot and be spinning creating that illusion.

I think it was already suggested, but at this point I'd be draining oil and cutting the filter open. No sense with more diagnostics should you find a bunch metal in the oil.

He's got a point ^ cutting open your filter isn't gna hurt anything only prove if you do or don't have metal shavings in your oil....

I opened the filter and this is what I found

I just watched that video again. I didn't notice the rear rocker being anymore lazy than the rest (but this laptop has Shitsta on it so the video isn't exactly smooth).

Is any oil flicking out onto the headers or inner fenders? They look dry as a bone with no spots.

ill go with rod bearings...... you can pull the pan and check the rod bearings one at a time.
