Never seen that before.
Looks like it shorted out internally and fried.
Measure with a VOM and see if it is shorted.

I've seen several.........They were that way, after being involved in a fire. Jerryl is probably correct.
To check it: Unplug the harness, take your volt ohm meter and check across the pins in the inj. Report back what you get.
Is that a burned wire at the point where the harness is up against the rail?? [Just past the harness boot]
Were you having engine problems, such as a miss, when you found this?

That looks like it was burnt with a torch from the outside. I'm not certain but I think the computer would fry
before heating an injector to that point and or blow the fuse.
The black on the outside indicates it came from outside.
If you don't own a volt-ohm meter, you can get a cheap one at Harbor Freight or off Ebay.
I've never checked a Turbo Regal injector but all the others I've checked, had about 11-12 ohms
across the two terminals. A bad one I once found, had 4 ohms and it caused a miss in the engine.

I've recently seen a few injs that leaked at the pins. The plug recess filled up w/ flow fluid, when I pressurized the bench.

Ok so i finally got my car back together and im getting ridiculous knock. Im going to check the fuel injector today if you guys can give me a lil more detail. So i just pull the connector at that injector and test it or do i splice into the wire? and im assuming test it with the ignition on? Also with that injector (if bad) can it cause bad knock with it missing?

Disregard the last message just read what chuck said, going to check it now. Can these injectors be purchased individually?

Yes, and Yes. :p
It can cause KR, and can be purchased individually.
The BEST thing you can do is to make SURE you have verified cleaned injectors.
Trust me . . . . PM Chuck. He is on your side of the world and can do it all.

took the harness off and it read about 15 ohms guessing thats good? and no that wasnt a burned wire, im guessing the harness was againt the intake that made the plastic melt thats the only thing i can guess that happened

15 ohms is OK. What does the inside of the plug look like? connectors burned? Fit loose on the inj? The intake wouldn't/shouldn't get hot enuf to melt the wiring...
I'd suggest the injs get checked and a new harness be installed. Caspers has them. If that inj is messed up, that could be the source of the knok....
