Just changed oil using Royal Purple 10W40,got a case for free and installed the B9 filter and oil PSI on start up is almost 60 and at idle warm about 32, 26 in gear. It's not blowing out anywhere but it did increase after change from Purolator and Mobil1. Is that to high or am I good?

Your oil pressure sounds fine to me. My oil pressure is right around 60-65 at start-up, But I could be wrong I am still new to these cars.

87gn-newbee, do you have a hi-vol oil pump??? Also, is the hot pressure at idle after you have driven the car around a while or is it just starting the car up and letting it come up to temp while idling???

I have one of the Precision front covers on the Monte and it will idle with 75-80lbs of oil pressure when cold and approx 20lbs when fully warmed up.

Mine car has about 60 psi on startup, around 60 psi when warm and driving and around 22 psi when idiling hot. This is on 10W40

I am with GNVAIR and WH1 85 here… I am running a HV kit and booster plate… and no oil cooler… and I am using 20w50 dino-juice.

After driving it some more today warm idle is around 26 so I guess no reason to worry. Took it to work today to race a guy with a Lightning but he no showed. He doesn't believe the car went 11.54 "No way are those cars that fast" and his lightning now with a 75 shot can beat me, he has no clue. Was supposed to be for a couple hundred.
