Why won't my TCC work. I bought the car last year and hasen't worked at all.
I have checked for power from the brake switch and the power is right at the solenoid. The resistance on the ground is 24 oms. I took off the solenoid and hooked it up to a battery and it cycles. The plunger holds air pressure when I blow in to it. I put a switch in the ground wire to force it on and still no workie. Thinking maybe the converter is a non lock up it has GM part # 8653702 and a DEGF on the tag, its a 12.5" with lock up and 6 pads for diesel trucks.
With the solenoid out I inserted a small screwdriver in the hole and has about 1/8" travel up there.
Is there anything mechanical between the solenoid and the converter that will bleed off the oil? I replaced the solenoid yesterday thinking it might be weak and the same thing.
I have tried a different ECM too.
Any other ideas?
