My car is bone-stock (down to the chip) with a little over 30k.

A new fuel filter and spark plug wires where the only things I've done to it recently.

Went to a friends house the other day with the "T". After getting there (with no problems) the car sat probably 4 hours. When I started the car to leave it started perfectly and idled normally. Then when I started to give it just a "little" gas (car in DRIVE) it acted like it didn't want to go. It kinda sputtered and it idled real low, almost stalling. No check engine light. I sat there for a minute to listen to the idle. Then I hit the gas again, with a little more force and it still sputtered but not as bad and it began to clear-up as I drove away.

From there on out the car drove perfect again with no problems what-so-ever. ANY IDEAS??

I'd start by checking the plugs and wires. May have an intermittant firing problem.

I have the Caspers coil pack tester. Can bring it to the Walmart cruise this weekend if you want to check it.

Cruise was cancelled last week and is on this weekend. Sat.

i have had this problem all doe it is nuttin to worry about .to solve the problem after the car sits a while ive noticed the car has to come up to operating temps 150-160 degrees to prevent that off idle stumble. this should take care of your problem. good luck.

hey xfactor ..... my dad now owns your old gnx 219 ..... i am the guy who came with his mom and got it .... hmm .... small world

Your problem is you haven't done a damn thing to your car. How long do you expect it to run that way, after 15 years and 30K miles and with at least some of the OEM stuff being crap right from the factory?

Start by gutting it and putting in a cage...

:D

Hello, Wes......................How's the "X" doing?? Your father wrote me note after recieving the title, saying he was HAPPY with the car. Does he drive it much?? Boy I sure do miss good Ol' 219:( .

Oh well, life goes on. Cool to hear from you.

Salvage....................I'm thinking of making the trip to Englishtown on Saturday for the Buick Weekend event (baring any funky weather). If not I'll probably be there Sat., Thanks. After fixing my cruise control your probably thinking, "Geeze I gotta start charging this guy a Labor charge :D .

Nah too stoopid for that.

May let you detail the GN someday though. :D

Actually I like getting use out of the coil pack tester it's a neat device, it will get some attention out of the distributor carb. guys at the cruise for sure. Makes some neat sounds. I've also got a stock MAF just about new for testing. :)

Good luck with the trip!
