Just installed Razor's PAC kit on my 86T.... Took it out for the first time and had zero knock at 23-24lbs, felt fine at WOT. At part throttle, it would stumble between 15-20lbs of boost, the gauge would "flutter" between those. I turned down the "initial" knob thinking it might be getting too much alky at part throttle and headed off to work.
Driving on the freeway, whenever I got into boost started getting heavy knock... pulled over and put the initial knob back where it was and started again. About 5 miles down the road, just cruising at approx. 60 miles an hour, car begins to stumble big-time. Throttle imput isn't doing anything, and I'm making my way for the shoulder because the car is about to die. Get over and the boost gauge is going between 10 and 0 vaccum and car sounds bad. Oil pressure and water temps are fine. Visually, everything under the hood looks fine. Tow truck driver that happened to be behind me and stopped said I had dark smoke out the tailpipes. It manages to get off the freeway at 15mph or so... do a quick check on the scanmaster and none of the data seemed unusual. It would continue to start just fine(15-20 psi vaccum), but would die in about 30 seconds if left in park. It would barely move if put in gear and driven (vaccum going between 10-0, oil pressure and temps still ok). Had it towed home.
I had to go to work so I didn't get to check much else. Hoping somebody has a bright idea.
Car has a TE44 with adjustable wastegate and RJC boost controller, 42.5 inj, 340 pump, no cat, Razor's PAC kit....
Thanks in advance
