I was pullin for the Astros...good game...glad to see DIFFERENT teams in the world series this year...i was so sick of seeing the yankees...now we can watch REAL teams play

Amen to that brother! I got worried there for a bit. I thought that maybe the Stro's were gonna get something going, especially w/ Belltran doing his thing but that all changed w/ Rolen's homer. Such a good game!

It was a good series and the Cards came to play today. Congrats to the Cards hope they can take it all. Hope they can beat the Sox

As so often happens, the 'stros manager made a fatal mistake by leaving his ace in too long. When will these guys ever learn? I mean, I know Clemens if a HOFer, and Gardner is, well, "scrap iron". But, that doesn't mean you owe him an opportunity to jeopardize what thousands of staff (from the ball players to the beer vendors) and millions of fans have worked for and looked forward to.

Clemens was 1-2 on Pujols when he missed with a fastball over the inside part of the plate. Then Rolen killed the first pitch he saw, another fastball Clemens missed with over the outside part of the plate. Clemens out pitch is the splitter. What the hell was he thinking? Seriously? Does Clemens think his low 90s, straight-as-an-arrow fastball is good enough to throw to hitters of that caliper, over and over? What a huge mistake in judgement.

If the 'stros had stuck to Clemens for 5, Oswalt for 2 and Lidge for 2, they'd be on their way to Boston. And if not, no one would have second guessed them. As it is, they deferred to Clemens, and it cost them. Too bad, so sad...

Best post season I can remember, and not just because the Cards are there. It did indeed come down to the 4 best teams, no flukes. Great LCS's. The 2 best teams ARE advancing, period. Gotta tip your hats to the Astros. Great 2nd half of the season and great NLCS, but the Cardinals are the better team.
