Cast manifold crossover vs. tubular crossover

I should know this but are the 79-80 crossovers the same as 83-85 crossovers? I know the 81-82's are different but wanted to make sure that my crossover I have now fits my tubular set.

Should fit. I have an '83 crossover connected to 1980 manifolds.

Personally I would avoid the tube headers. They crack and don't keep the heat inside.

Im going to be cutting them open and cutting out the overlaps between the tubes and rewelding them and adding bracing so they should hold along with ceramic coating them to hold in heat.

I just dont see the cast set flowing all that great. Maybe they are better than I think....

i have a set of 84-85 headers and they do let alot of heat out under the hood.
