Any tricks or ideas on how to keep the center caps from flying off the car while cruizin ..two have already came off thankfully not on a busy street....the metal ring is all that stays on the wheel..seems there poppin off from where the metal ring pops on to the center cap...

I feel your pain........

I have replaced quite a few. :(
You have to have the right stock style lugnuts that help hold the centercap secure.
I always epoxy the cap to the ring where the plastic goes thru to anchor it.
Since I have corrected these two issues, I have not lost another cap.

he stated the ring is still there

the front discs heat up the plastic and the tabs that hold the cap are only pushed into the metal retainer , those tabs get brittle and they brake

the fix drill some small holes through for small screws

I tried the epoxy thing and installed they feel nice and snug hopefully they stay on if not Imma have to screw em...I only have 1 for a spare so I hope they hold

I wrapped the tabs with about 4 layers of electrical tape, then snapped them in. I havent lost one yet, and they still pop right off if you need to.

I had this problem years ago until I did all my centercaps and it works. Get a soildering gun and
either press it into the black tabs that stick out from the ring. It melts the plastic down and spreads it out so that it will not be able to get through the ring hole anymore. Clean the iron off while its still hot and you'll be able to use it for what it was intended for.
