Champion valve covers with A/C box...

Hey Guys,
Do Champion valve covers fit with alum GN1's and the factory A/C box? Miguel and I were talking it out and its has to be tight. Who else is using them with these options?
He has a perfect set I want and I dont think they are going to fit ( well they might fit, but can you get them off?) and he is of the same opinion. Can they be modded to fit?

I cut the bottom part of the shield off to make it easier. I am running the TA/M&A covers, which are fatter. The Champions are alittle slimmer. The other issue when removing the covers is the heater tube and the rockers. Turn the engine over until the last rocker is down to get more clearance.

That why they fit with the AC shield, you have stock mount. with H&R mount the motor is little higher then the stock mounts.

Heck I've got stock mounts, stock VC's, and the AC shield. Pulling the valve cover to change springs was IMPOSSIBLE without pulling the heater hoses. It wasn't even close. I turned the motor over, but that didn't help. I gave up on it and pulled the heater hoses and it made it very simple. There's maybe 3/8" clearance between the AC shield and the VC when it's installed. I still have been unable to get the last spring removed and re-installed on the bitch cylinder (#6). Waiting on the Proform VS compressor to see if that helps.

If I ever have the motor re-done with different heads that require different VC's, I will be doing the AC DELETE!!

they fit with hr mounts. sometimes when the body mounts get played out things get tight!

They fit. HR mounts, GN1's, irons, it is just tight. Have had to pull the valve covers on this car to adjust the rockers with both a 109 and iron heads and a Stage 2 with GN1's.

i thought i answered it? i have gn1's and factory ac box and they fit....heater tube needs to be removed and reinstalled, but had to do that with stock parts too....yes, you can get them off too....
