Chassis Dyno Today- Long

got my car dynoed today and was very disappointed 244 hp @4400 rpm and 304 ft-lbs torque @4100 rpm. i was'nt there to see them run the test but i sent my buddy while i was at work. don't know how they ran it but, i can say one thing, with the mods i have these numbers suck. i really expected more and can't figure out what's wrong. i know tune,tune,tune is the motto but i don't think that would be much of an issue, the numbers don't lie. the mods i have are stock rebuilt long block no porting standard bore, ta 49,stainless up/dp & x over, jl 93 chip, lunati 200/200, ported elbow & throttle body, accel 8.8, hooker 2 1/2 cat back w/test pipe.

You really don't have much in mods. The big question is how much boost was it at? If you were at 15psi and a street chip I wouldn't be disappointed at all. Look at how the IC cars are setup when they dyno. 116 octane, race chip, and boost cranked to the sky. We finally got a dyno in my area and you can bet my car is going to be at it's fullest potential or I'll have to take more crap from TTA89.

19-20PSI 6*< knock, last time at track running 14.7's untuned. just feels to me that my boost isn't boosting can't find that sweet spot. if go below 18 psi it's really a slug.

Hey cool 84, dont know how much it is for dyno time up there but there is a shop in lancaster called Scat that offers a special on thurs night, 2 runs for 35 bucks. Havent had a chance to take my car there yet but a couple friends have and said its a pretty good deal. If your intrested let me know and i'll get you more info.

Heck yeah, that would be cool. If you could get some more info, I could probably get a few of the locals to come up there. I know a couple of my friends have been talking about wanting to dyno their cars. I wouldn't mind knowing what my dad's stage II makes either. Do you know what the hp limit is on the dyno?

Boostmaster, you were on a 93 octane chip and you have an unported intake. I bet with a race chip and ported intake those numbers would really rise. I think it has more in it. Tuning makes more of a difference than you would believe. I learned the hard way.
