Chip Octane setting

I am having a few issues with the way my GN is running. I has been stumbling and popping going into low boost. I am runnig a translater + and a 98 octane extender chip, all I can find here is 93 octane fuel . Would not having the 98 octane fuel make it act this way?
Also, I have a cracked driver side exhaust manifold. I am going to remove it and get it welded.

You need to take some timing out for 93 oct. Set spark base and spark wot at E. This will take 4* timing out if you have good 93oct. If crappy take 6* out. This should be in your instructions if not go to Full Throttle website.
