I emailed the seller asking for more info - what car # (of the 547) did it come from and what happened to the car?

I'll post his answer if he replies.

But $16,800 starting bid? Gimme a break... For that kind of money, you can buy a mint '87 GN/TR hardtop, throw on a few mods, run 11's, and still have a LOT of money left over.

I like that, only 547 of these engines were specially made.... Same LC2 motor with a custom turbo. The transmission has some modifications made to it that are no big deal.

This guy needs to take another hit of the pipe.

I think the guy has had enough hits on the pipe. I'd be interested in his reply also.

For the kind of money he wants, you'd think he would be able to afford a decent camera.

who cares about a gnx motor, unless its in a gnx

you could build a stage motor for that price

I just got an email from the seller. Here is their response:

"THERE IS 6800 ORIGINAL MILES, IT IS FROM #20 OF 547 AND WAS REMOVED 3 YEARS AGO."

That was in response to this question:

">Hello,
>
> How many miles are on the engine/transmission, and were they running OK when removed? What # GNX did they come from?
>
> Do you happen to have any more parts from it such as the dash panel (instrument panel with instruments.)?"

Anybody know the story on GNX #20 ?

Wonder if its hot??Id say its worth a lil over $10k.Turbo alone is worth some $$$$.:)

That's what I'm wondering. Unless it was wrecked, who'd part out a 6800 mile GNX??!?! Get a V.I.N. number!
