Close call with Tranny fluid

On my way home today......

Car began to smoke and I looked underneath, only to find tranny fluid spewing out on the ground right below the downpipe.

Fluid everywhere, so it is hard to tell where it is coming from.

Tranny cooler lines?

or ......

Is this the transmission fluid pump located down at the base of the motor on the passengers side, just below the downpipe?

The pump just began to tick from running it dry, and I immediately shut it down.

Do we think this would have killed the pump, or might I be ok?

Look for a pin hole leak in the tranny lines where it passes between the crossover pipe and the block/starter...I've had that happen on my 85 where the tranny line was rubbing against the crossover pipe and wore a hole in the tranny line...
