anyone knows what a code 42 is ? 86 gn car started to stall and then act like it will die, made it home 11 miles

Should I replace coil and IGN module?? I was trying to see if had loose wire , and saw the computer had RN on it, and chip was RN delco CMW JT8(B)AF40/P IS THAT STOCK ????? I thought I had aftermarket chip..

Does anyone know if I replace the coil and IGN module if that will stop the code 42? THANKS for code htm

I had that trouble with that once for me it was the wire at the connector of the ignition module you can all ways take yours off and have yours tested at a parts store before you shell out the money
