Why, TCI and B&M make them for a lot less $$$$$

WHY?

Ask this board why. I dont want to be biased. Ask them why buy something that was designed EXACTLY for what you want or something that was made a "shelfed" to fit all applications.
If still not convinced, buy one of those others, and report back
your performance and satifaction.

The wisdom of site searches

If you search the board for previous posts about member's experiences with TQs you will find a lot of exchanges about different brands. This is coming from actual users and having done that myself I can tell you PTS is highly recommended, lot of satisfied customers.

But search and read for yourself, that's what the archives of previous posts are for--don't take Bruce's word or mine, listen to the "group."

I had a TCI trannie and convertor, the trannie did not shift well when it was hot and I traded the TQ for a rebuilt D-5.
