How do you use a paperclip to lock up the convertor clutch?
Is it worth doeing?
Will it trash the convertor? If so how many runs can be expected?
What kind of et drop can be expected?
I'am talking about at the dragstrip, not running it on the street that way.

Thanks

I wouldn't recommend locking your converter with a paperclip
because once your run one the drag strip is done you must
unlock the converter. the best way is to find the f terminal
on your aldl connector [top left pin] tap a wire into the wire
feeding that pin. then run that wire to a switch then from the
switch to ground. when you engage the switch you will notice
that nothing happens however once your car shifts into 2nd
gear it will lock up. don't forget to unlock it at the end of your
run or you will burn it up. i've found that locking the converter
on my car was good for almost 2 tenths in the quarter.

I agree with marines185 about using a switch. But if you must you a paper clip, open the clip a shove an end into the top left and top right pins in the aldl connector. Just pull it out on the return road. It will eventually burn out the tcc.
